About International Brands Limited

text

With over 25 years in the business, we've earned an excellent reputation for our successful and varied wine portfolio, and as our sales figures prove, our customers come back time and again. We sell around 6 million cases each year globally, and turnover in the UK is around £17m.

We know that "high quality and consistency at an affordable price" is important to our customers so we carefully select each of our wines.

We source products from all the major wine growing regions but when it comes to South African wines, we really do know our grapes! That’s because we are partners in the Imbuko Estate Winery on the Western Cape.

About the Imbuko Estate

The winery is situated near Wellington at the centre of the Cape Winelands and our fresh, fruity wines truly reflect the taste and spirit of Africa.

Our young head winemaker, Theunis van Zyl, uses 100% sustainable agriculture methods and innovative techniques to produce vibrant wines with low environmental impact.

Our ethical principles guide everything we do from farming to caring for our people. We reinvest into the winery to provide excellent working conditions, which include crèches and after school care for our workers’ children.

The Imbuko approach is perfectly captured by the strapline of our Makulu range: Our people. Our land. Our future - does that work now? It reflects how we produce wines in ways that meet the needs of today without compromising the needs of tomorrow.

Imuko brands

Several of our wines are Fairtrade and a number are organic. Our brands include:
Makulu, Imbuko, Releaf Organic, and Rebourne Fairtrade.

Quality assured at every stage

We also have significant bottling and bag-in-box facilities with our production partner in Germany, which means we have control at each stage of production. With our South African wines, you could say that's from the vine to the shelf.

All the companies we partner with share the same values and ethics, which for you means quality assurance and attention to detail with every bottle.
