Imbuko

In the South African ‘Xhosa’ language, the word IMBUKO means “admiration for…” and the passionate pride of the country’s wine producers is exemplified in this distinctive, fruit driven range of premium wines from the family farm “Uitkyk” in Wellington.

Imbuko Trading was established in March 2004 in the South African town of Wellington in the heart of the renowned Cape Winelands and, in partnership with our young wine maker – Theunis Van Zyl –, has already won recognition amongst the major South African wine producers. Generations of his family have produced the cultivars for the majority of the country’s producers for many years and also have a reputation for making fine wines. This exciting new company is now reaping the benefits of all that experience and injecting its own refreshing enthusiasm to craft the South African wines of the future.
